Dear fellow students!
Due to the current situation, translators and/or interpreters for Ukrainian/Russian are urgently needed for various tasks. If you have time and want to help, these are your points of contact:
- The Students' Union (AStA) is looking for students/helpers who could translate websites into Ukrainian that offer help for refugees and Ukrainian students. => contact the AStA directly (asta@uni-greifswald.de)
- The Ministry of the Interior needs support with the supervision of refugees arriving in MV (Russian and/or Ukrainian). => get in touch with Prof. Dubasevych (roman.dubasevych@uni-greifswald.de)
- Greifswaldsolidarisch also needs your help locally (by phone/ in person) when people arrive in Greifswald (Russian and/or Ukrainian). => please contact us first (fsrslaba@uni-greifswald.de)
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for your solidarity and efforts so far. You are great!

Interest representation
We work together with the members of teaching staff and employees of the Department of Slavonic Studies in internal departmental bodies such as the Examination Board, the Department Council and the appointment committees for new professors. Outside of the Department of Slavonic Studies, we represent your interests in the assembly of department student councils.
Cultural events
These include, for example, Andrzejki or the Christmas Party. Throughout the year, there are film evenings, theatre performances, performances by Slavonic bands, barbecues, etc. So there are plenty of opportunities to get to know lecturers and fellow students better.
Student counselling
Students can also contact us if they have any questions about the study regulations, exams, etc. On request, a member of the Department Student Council can also be present during exams.
As you can see, there are lots of great things to do in the Department Student Council! If this has whetted your appetite, get in touch with us and get involved!
