Internship/ Semester of Study Abroad in the Czech Republic

Dear students of the Department of Slavonic Studies and the Depart of Teaching German as a Foreign Language,

We would like to inform you about the possibility of an internship abroad at one of the Czech universities.

Language skills in Czech are not required for the stay. However, to help you get to know the Czech language and culture, we offer language classes as well as seminars on the country's history and culture.

PolenmARkT is looking for interns for a flexible periods of time up until the end of the year

The organisation team of polenmARkT is looking for reinforcement! We are offering you the opportunity to help organise this unique festival of Polish culture.

You can get in touch with artists, get involved in cultural exchange with our neighbouring country Poland and help shape the festival. You will be actively involved in the team, have contact with the artists and be in the midst of the whole festival.

Gain experience in exchanging with a wide range of people, in various organisational tasks, and in the planning and implementation of events, the supervision of individual events, the realisation of your own ideas, making contacts abroad, and international work.

You will be able to organise your working hours flexibly, even over a longer period of time. We also want to give you the opportunity to take on greater responsibility for individual events under the guidance of experienced team colleagues. You will be part of the team!

What we expect from you:

- IT skills

- Interest in cultural exchange (especially with Poland)

- Flexibility, especially during the festival period

- Knowledge of Polish is an advantage (not a requirement!)

You are expected to take on the following tasks:

- Collection of press reviews

- Organisation of events

- Supervising guests

- Public relations and promotion of the events (online, in Greifswald and the surrounding area, possibly also near the Polish border)

- Office tasks and office work

- Documentation and archiving

- Collaboration on the programme

- Unfortunately, some "thankless" tasks

(This list is a list of possible tasks, we will also be happy to consider your interests and previous knowledge when allocating tasks; further tasks can be assigned after consultation)

 

Of course, you will also be issued with an internship certificate on request.

The number of hours and how you wish to organise your working hours will be discussed individually if requested.
