The university's Ukrainicum is a two-semester additional course on Ukrainian language and culture.
Since winter semester 2009/10, the University of Greifswald has offered an additional course on Ukrainian language and culture that supplements the existing B.A. and M.A. degree courses at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
The learning objective of the course is the acquisition of an optional additional qualification to the degree course. The additional course is intended as a supplementary and accompanying study offer for other degree courses, but also as an independent study element.
The purpose of the course is to impart knowledge of the Ukrainian language and in the field of Ukrainian national and cultural studies for later use in professional life.
Successful completion of the additional course proves that the student has obtained the language and subject knowledge required in their respective professional field for cooperation with partners in Ukraine.
